Nesting Swans

Last December the swans brought a flock of cygnets up. We could see the parents taking the cygnets around. You can see a family portrait here.

The cygnets have long since taken off leaving the parents behind for a while. We have spotted the pen roosting on the tern of late, not leaving it no matter what. Today after our groceries shopping, we passed by the docks again to check. It is confirmed that the pen is definitely roosting. Just by chance as we walked past, the pen took a leg stretch, below her belly on top of the stone pile were eggs!

You can see in the pictures below the pen roosting, whilst the cob stays nearby guarding. What a sight!
